Interlachen All American Freedom Fest for Independence Day

All American Freedom Fest, a day-long Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 4th, 2024. The event will feature a wide range of activities suitable for all ages, including vendors, games, and entertainment from 8 am to 2 pm. The festivities will continue from 7 pm to 9 pm with a street dance and fireworks display, promising a day of fun for the entire family.

The highlight of the event will be a Veterans Ceremony at 9:45 am, sponsored by The American Legion Post 293, Interlachen. This ceremony will be held at Jenkins Park, named in honor of PFC Robert Jenkins, a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient from the Vietnam War and a local hero who sacrificed his life to save another. Congressman Mike Waltz will be the keynote speaker for this event.

The parade will begin at Jenkins Park immediately following the ceremony. This year’s Parade Marshal will honor State Representative Bobby Payne for his years of leadership and hard work in the Florida House of Representatives.
