Become a TrophyCatch Approved Guide
The TrophyCatch program is a bass fishing promotional program produced by FWC. There are several goals of the program: to promote bass fishing, encourage catch & release, gather catch data for bass weighing 8 lbs. & heavier. However, the overarching goal is to reinforce that “Florida is the Bass Fishing Capital of the World!”
Guides are encouraged to participate through the many tourists pursuing trophy-sized bass on their guided trips. If the angler recognizes their guide/captain, the guide/captain will be recognized with the catch on the TrophyCatch website, and we are happy to promote their company via the Facebook & Instagram sites @TrophyCatchFlorida. Anglers who are planning a fishing trip also use the TrophyCatch website to see where the biggest fish are being caught and what guides are helping anglers land these giants. This is a win-win for guide, angler, and TrophyCatch.
To become a guide listed on TrophyCatch.com simply provide the below details by emailing us at TrophyCatch@MyFWC.com and we will add you to the dropdown menu when fish are submitted. It’s also important to understand the Rules necessary for each bass to be approved as a TrophyCatch angler so take a few minutes to read the rules and look through the Gallery of Catches page for examples of weight documentation.
